ABOUT US
In 2003, The Fox Point Foundation funded the first Fox Point Farmers’ Market (FPFM). The market has been run by two volunteer managers, Jim and Mary LaCharite, along with a team of volunteers for the last 20 years. Mary and Jim have recently retired, and now a volunteer advisory board reviews and guides the market operation as a collective team.
The market is a 501(c)3.
OUR MISSION
The mission of the Fox Point Farmers’ Market (FPFM) is to provide access to fresh, healthy food, support Wisconsin’s small family farms and food producers, and build a vibrant gathering place for the community.
Vendors offer high quality fruit and vegetables, meat, poultry, eggs, fish and cheese. Additional products include baked goods, jam, honey, syrup, sauces, soup and other prepared foods.
The market operates from June 15th through October 12th in the parking lot of the North Shore Congregational Church (7330 N Santa Monica Blvd) in Fox Point from 8 a.m. to noon.
VOLUNTEER
This could be a sign.......
...... that volunteering your help for the Fox Point Farmers’ Market is easier than you think!
Each week of the Farmers’ Market, market volunteers post the signs on Friday and collect them after Noon on Saturday. In the past, we had one volunteer post all the signs and another volunteer collect them.
For 2024, we are looking for a group of volunteers to each post a single sign on their property, near the street or on Village property that is convenient for ease of posting and removing. We are hoping to continue to place these signs in high-visibility locations throughout the Village to remind people to visit the Market and to help new visitors find the Market.
If you would like to support the Market and can make a small commitment, we would like to talk to you! We can review the sign locations that might work for you and the Market and any other details of posting a sign or answer questions you may have.
If interested, respond at fpfm.board@gmail.com.
